Announcing the New Partnership between VOW for Girls and WIPA!
We are elated to announce the brand new partnership between VOW for Girls and Wedding International Professionals Association (WIPA)!
As a non-profit dedicated to elevating the standards of the wedding industry, WIPA has been producing educational and networking events for leading industry professionals across North America, and now globally, since 2008. The code of conduct and ethics WIPA developed help wedding pros hold themselves to the highest standards and lift the industry as a whole. With 14 chapters in various locales and more in the process of being formed, WIPA has a finger on the pulse of the wedding world and aids in the progression of the industry through its commitment to its members.
VOW for Girls, a non-profit organization dedicated to ending child marriage and empowering girls to choose love on their own terms, makes an ideal partner for WIPA! Every dollar raised by VOW goes directly to local organizations around the world working to advance girls’ rights by providing education, career training, and other necessary life skills within their communities. VOW’s work in this field is a perfect match with the wedding industry and with WIPA.
In the words of Sarah Roshan, WIPA Director of Community Service, “WIPA is thrilled to partner with VOW to continue our efforts to serve our communities better and help spread awareness to end child marriage.”
As collaborating partners, WIPA and VOW will be using their platforms within the wedding industry and the world to help spread awareness of the international childhood marriage crisis and highlight the core work done at VOW in service of aiding this cause. We’re looking forward to seeing what positive changes can be accomplished when working together!
About VOW for Girls
From wedding registry donations to partner product purchases, everything donated to VOW (that’s 100% of donations!) goes directly to community-driven efforts to help girls around the world. Our grantees, which are mainly women-led local organizations, use the funding we provide to directly support girls.
Twelve million girls a year, some as young as 8, become child brides. VOW is a global movement of the wedding industry community, partners and couples who are dedicated to a world where no child is ever a bride and where every girl has the chance to live the life she loves.
If you’re in the wedding industry and you’re interested in becoming involved, please find more wedding inspiration and advice in our blog, consider becoming a VOW Pro partner and learning more about VOW’s mission to end child marriage.
