Raising Teenagers Uganda

“Every child needs someone to inspire her and give her reasons to keep going.”

Hope N. has dedicated her career to doing just that – bringing hope to young girls in Uganda.

Hope leads Raising Teenagers Uganda, an organization created to support girls to stay in school until they complete their education. In a country where educating girls is not always seen as a good investment and 2 out of every 5 girls are married before 18, Hope is still hopeful.

VOW supports organizations like Raising Teenagers Uganda, which provides leadership camps and skills trainings for girls to help increase their confidence, learn their rights and to stand up and speak out about issues affecting them. They also offer personalized counseling sessions and help increase a girl’s capacity to identify those at risk of child marriage and school dropout.

“Every girl should have an opportunity to stay in school and complete her education. She should enjoy her childhood and work towards realizing her dreams in life.”

100% of the funds we raise are invested in underfunded local efforts in communities around the world that advance girls’ rights.
